The Arizona Interfaith Alliance for Worker Justice is a
non-profit Worker Rights Center (WRC) that supports
Arizona’s workers through service provision/ case management, education,
outreach and advocacy to improve workplace conditions and pay.
The WRC is seeking a Social
Media Intern to assist center staff in maintaining the AZWRC website, Facebook
page, and Twitter account with current information, pictures, and upcoming
event details. The intern will also use footage gathered from AZWRC meetings
and events to create videos that will be used to advertise center services and
inform the community about our Anti-Wage Theft campaign.
The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge
of video editing software, graphic design, social media platforms, great verbal
& written communication skills, and an interest in social justice and
learning more about worker rights on a local and global scale.
This internship is unpaid. However, center staff
has previously worked with ASU for students to earn class credit. The time
commitment for this position can be anywhere from 10 to 20 hours per week.
